I hold a Master’s Degree (MSSc) in Occupational Safety and Health from Queen’s University, Belfast. I am a Chartered Member of the Institution of Safety and Health (CMIOSH) and a Fellow of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (FIIRSM).
My qualifications also include CAA Crashed Aircraft Investigator, Approved CITB trainer, Registered Member of the Association for Project Safety (RMaPS), Member of Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR).
I provide Health and Safety Consultancy to a wide range of organisations including waste/environmental management, manufacturing, construction/civil engineering, mining, healthcare, distribution, pharmaceutical, liquor licensing, housing and food industries. Services cover UK, Ireland and wider European area and include operational expertise in respect of managing Health and Safety and development of various Management Systems, HSG 65, Safe-T-Cert, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004. I am a Technical Expert/Lead Auditor with the British Standards Institute and IRCA working with many clients in their accreditation for the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.
I lecture in Health & Safety awards such as NEBOSH National General Certificate Course and the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma. I am also an associate lecturer with the British Safety Council, lecturing in their level 3 Cert OSH, level 6 Dip OSH, International Dip OSH, NEBOSH Certificate, NEBOSH Fire Certificate and many other BSC courses. I am an approved tutor for the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) lecturing on a wide range of Level 1 – 4 Ofqual accredited courses in Health and Safety, Environmental Protection and Food Safety.
