My qualifications include Civil Engineering, NEBOSH Health & Safety and Environmental Management, D32/D33 Assessment, Galileo Carbon Management National/International Freight Competence and Certificates of Technical Competence for Landfill Hazardous Wastes, Treatment of Contaminated Land and Treatment of Hazardous Waste
I am a Chartered Waste Manager, being a member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management; a member of the Society of Environmentalists and a member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland.
Previously from a Civil Engineering background, both internationally and in the UK, I have been involved in the waste management industry since 1995. Managing several non-hazardous landfill sites and recycling facilities gave me a broad operational experience in addition to developing my skills to ‘think outside the box’. Having experience in operations and specifically hazardous waste management offers positive support to my current role.
Having established Practical Waste Solutions Ltd in 2002 the company has grown from strength to strength offering clients, in both the UK and Ireland, expertise in dealing with many aspects of environmental, waste and safety management…….essentially a provider ‘practical’ assistance.
My involvement in various contaminated land projects has assisted a range of industries to realise cost-effective remediation techniques, demonstrating our company integrity to not pose a significant expense when dealing with contamination and invasive species.
Leading a company that offers clients a way forward for a range of training, waste, environmental and safety matters means that I can give clients a ‘one stop shop’ solution, developing working relationships built on trust and confidence.
